SCOPE |
The symposiums are intended to provide for the exposition and discussion of research on fine chemistry, functional polymers and other novel materials and synthesis. Topics presented will be as following:
(1) Innovative catalytic and other synthetic methods including chiral and asymmetrical synthesis.
(2) Innovative polymer materials including supramolecular (supermolecular, dynamers), conducting, semiconducting, optoelectronic and biobased polymers, their properties and characteristics.
(3) Innovative energy materials including fuel cells, solar cells, lithium batteries, Ni-MH batteries and supercapacitors.
(4) Innovative nanomaterials and their preparation, characteristics and applications.
(5) Other novel materials including drugs, perfumes, agricultural chemicals, electrical materials, photosensitive materials, displaying materials and fine ceramics and their preparation.

METHOD OF PRESENTATIONE |
Plenary lectures (30 min each), keynoted invited lectures (30 min each), invited lectures (25 min each), oral presentation (20 min each) and poster sessions.

ABSTRACT PREPARATION |
All speakers are requested to submit a two-page abstract. The abstract should be typed on good quality paper (DIN A4 format, 21 cm wide by 29.5 cm deep). The typing area of each page should be no more than 16 cm wide by 23 cm deep. If there are several authors on the abstract, please underline the speaker. The abstract should be emailed to the General Secretary of the Symposium, Prof. Hua-Ming Li (Email: hmli@ujs.edu.cn / fcfp18@hotmail.com) as an attachment, before August 15, 2008 in the form of Microsoft Word Document (*.doc).

HOW TO GO TO Zhenjiang |
Zhenjiang (镇江) is near Nanjing (南京). It takes about 1 h by car from Nanjing (南京) Airport to Zhenjiang (镇江).You can arrive at Nanjing Airport from Beijing, Shanghai or Osaka Airport .You can also go to Zhenjiang (镇江) from Shanghai Airport, It takes you about 3 h by car.

POST-SYMPOSIUM |

The sightseeing in Zhenjiang (镇江)、Nanjing (南京) and Yangzhou (扬州) includes the famous Slender West Lake (瘦西湖) and other famous places such as Jinshan Temple (金山寺),and The Confucius Temple(夫子庙).

EXPENSES FOR ACCOMMODATIONS |
Expenses for hotels will be about US $60-80 per day for a single person during the Symposium and Post-Symposium.
